Sleeping two, this is a Tardis version of a Shepherd’s Hut. Fully equipped for that short break with gas hob, oven, Butler’s sink, ensuite shower with hot and cold running water, flushing toilet attached to proper sewerage. No roughing it here!!. All the kitchen utensils you will need for that cosy stay in the countryside. Electrically heated and with a log-burning stove for those cold Winter nights this hut is super insulated to modern standards.

The perfect spot for:
- Angling, The River Wear is only about a five minute walk from the hut. The Bishop Auckland Angling Club have stretches on the River Wear and other spots around the area.
- Walking, The Wear Valley Way runs through Edge Knoll Farm and is about halfway between Killhope Lead Mine at the start of the walk and Seaburn Beach in Sunderland at the end.
- Cycling, An ideal spot for touring the area with quiet roads all around County Durham. At the West end of Hamsterley village there is the fantastic Downhill Mountain Biking area of Hamsterley Forest. With runs from the suicidal to the gentler runs for those without the desire to end up in bandages.
Why not plan to do the walk and have a few days refreshing yourself in the middle of your trek in this oasis. Good pub restaurants start within a 20 minute walk for the thirsty traveller and there are many more walks in the area, starting from the door of your hideaway.
